Lough Gur Stud Earrings

These hand forged sterling silver stud earrings are inspired by an ancient bronze shield from the Late Bronze Age (c.700 BC). The original shield was found in a bog between Ballinamoona and Herbertstown, near Lough Gur, Co. Limerick, Ireland.

Made the same way as the original shield, these earrings are hand forged from flat silver sheet with the raised bosses beaten out from behind. The concentric circles are hand engraved into the front. 

Supplied with sterling silver butterfly backs.
