This elegant Open Leaf pendant is hand forged from sterling silver and the front of the pendant is covered with hand fused 24 carat gold. Every rippling mark on the Leaf's surface is made by a strike of my hammer as I forge it  from a piece of flat silver sheet into a gently curving 3D shape. The simple but eye-catching design evokes the beauty and delicacy of a newly formed leaf.

The 24 carat gold is hand fused on in 5 layers using an ancient Korean technique called keum bu. This gives the gold a beautiful warm texture and creates a thick, hard-wearing coating of gold over 100 times thicker than gold plating.

Comes hung on a chunky 18" sterling silver snake chain, as pictured.
